A planer is an instrument used in arthroscopic surgery, mainly used for cutting, scraping, grinding and removing tissues such as cartilage, ligaments, synovium, etc. It usually consists of a handle, and the use of an arthroscopic planer can reduce surgical trauma and bleeding, and improve surgical accuracy and effect.
Principle: The planer is connected to the main unit, and soft tissue resection is achieved mainly through reciprocating rotation and side cutting.
Composition: 1. Handle: The handle is usually made of metal or plastic, used to hold and control the direction and depth of the planer, with a magnet inside
2. Inner tube/outer tube, with a gap in the middle.
3. Blade head: The blade head is part of the blade, usually made of carbide, used for cutting, scraping, grinding and removing tissues such as cartilage, ligaments, synovium, etc. The shape and size of the blade head are also different, and can be selected according to surgical needs.
4. Connector: The connector is used to connect the handle and the blade or blade head together, usually made of metal, with a certain degree of elasticity and durability.
